Product Description
CJC 1295 DAC, a long acting GHRH polypeptide, causes the anterior pituitarys somatotropes to release growth hormone. DAC conjugated CJC 1295, makes this GHRH have a half life of more than a week (approx. 8 days). GHRH is released in pulses in the body which alternate with corresponding pulses of somatostatin (growth-hormone inhibiting-hormone). Ghrelin, released from the gut which circulates and acts as a hunger hormone, has synergistic activity in the body with GHRH and also suppresses somatostatin to make way for the GHRH pulse. Studies shows that combining GHRP with CJC 1295 DAC, significantly increase the release of GH and IGF-1 production.
Storage Information:
Lyophilized Peptides require to be stored in refrigerator or freezer to preserve shelf life. Lyophilized peptides should be refrigerated and stored away from bright light. For short-term storage ranging from one week to two months, lyophilized peptides may be stored at 4 degrees Celsius. For long-term storage, lyophilized peptide should be stored at -20 degrees Celsius in deep freezer. Even though this condition keeps most peptides stable for several years, peptides' long term stability is at risk when peptides expose to moisture, therefore, the vial should be tightly capped at all times. This also requires careful experiment planning to minimize vial openings.
Repeated freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided for both lyophilized peptides and peptide solutions. If peptide samples need to be frequently or periodically taken from the stock, it is recommended to make a series of aliquots from the stock.
Peptide sequences containing C, M, or W are prone to air oxidation. It is recommended to purge the air out of the vial and replace it with a blanket of nitrogen or argon.
In general, peptide solutions are stable for up to a week at 4C. However, if the peptide sequence has inherent instability (Peptide Stability), it might be better to freeze the solution when not in use. Peptide solutions at pH>8 should also be frozen when not in use.
